Service without Borders

AIRTRANS is one of Cyprus’s most established logistics and aviation services companies, delivering integrated freight forwarding, transportation, and airline support solutions to organisations operating across international markets. Since its foundation in 1983 the company has developed a reputation for reliability, operational expertise, and long-term partnerships across industries that depend on efficient logistics and aviation infrastructure.

History

The company was founded by Andreas Charalambous at Larnaca Airport where it began as a specialised travel and airfreight operation. In its early years AIRTRANS supported cargo charter operations and export logistics while gradually expanding its capabilities to meet the growing demands of international trade and aviation services.

Over the following decades the company expanded into multimodal freight forwarding, airline representation, ground handling, oil and gas logistics, courier services, and complex project transportation. This growth transformed AIRTRANS from a small aviation services provider into a comprehensive logistics partner capable of managing cargo movements and aviation operations across multiple continents.

Today

Today the company operates one of the most significant logistics infrastructures at Larnaca Airport, including more than fourteen thousand square metres of warehousing facilities dedicated to cargo storage, freight handling, and logistics operations. AIRTRANS remains the only company operating completely independent warehousing facilities at the airport, allowing it to provide efficient cargo management and storage solutions for a wide range of industries.

The company’s aviation partnerships further strengthen its position in the regional logistics sector. AIRTRANS works closely with international airlines including EgyptAir, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Royal Jordanian, and Cyprus Airways, providing airline representation, cargo management, and passenger support services.

With more than one hundred employees and over forty years of operational experience, AIRTRANS continues to support aviation operators, energy companies, marine and offshore operations, freight forwarding clients, and commercial organisations that depend on reliable global logistics solutions.
